MORAL DEGRADATION OF HUMAN BEING TO THE LEVEL OF A DECOR. "The image of glass characterizes the ignorance and coldness of people, who are alive only by outer view, just like an object. This world sometimes makes one person alive only by another's interior identity. I wanted to express the world where people live in the delusion of materialism and greed. We are often talking about people as pieces of furniture, pieces of wall decor. And very often we are treating them like that. What was once an enjoyable luxury has become a necessity distressing us, to the point where the world around us has become almost dead. A person's immorality leads him to the inevitable of being occupied with his own vanity, of being a mere object. Who knows what will happen next. In this kind of world maybe we all become a lifeless piece of someone's interior." Kay Leben | Painter
Open up to one of our most mesmerizing oil paintings as “Modern Morality” in pop art style. This piece is sure to draw attention with its bold hues, compelling story, and instantly memorable motifs.
The artwork reflects the emptiness of human beings while it is surrounded by vulgarism, materialism, and sexualization. We can see a girl as if she is a glass on a table, a beautiful decoration rather than a human being. She seems so isolated and lost among modern people. She is like a "glass", a kind of an ornament. Her cold eyes and bored look indicate the emptiness of her personal life. Alcohol, cigarettes, and drugs on the table symbolize our bad habits and bondage from them. The bright range of colors, intriguing composition make this painting perfect for any interior or a great gift idea for a special person in your life.
